1. Am in the right room? I should be standing at the door, if a student needs help. A sign needs to be at the door with my name.
2. Where am I supposed to sit? In my class students will be sitting in an assigned seat. If a student asks to sit next to his/her friend, at least that student is not lost for the first day of school.
3. What are the rules in this classroom? My classroom rules are: Come to class prepared, respect others and properly, listen and follow directions, respect other students' materials and clean up about five minutes before class is over.
4. What will I be doing this year? The first two weeks students will be responsible for their behavior and learning. Students can only be successful, if they are shown the proper procedures on how to do things in the classroom. New procedures will be explained to students frequently.
5. How will I be graded? I will be testing students approximately four to five days after their given lesson plans and we will discuss the assignments along with any necessary modifications.
6. Will I be just another student in the classroom? No, our students will bring an object about themselvs to be posted on a bulletin door. Every student and their unique identity and personality is very important in the classroom.
7. How will I be treated by my teacher? My students will be treated with respect, love, dignity and equality; a recipe I believe for success both in the classroom, and in life.
